Wide Rainbow curator Kelly Taxter gave Girls Prep Middle School from the Lower Eastside a special tour of the current exhibition Take Me I'm Yours at the Jewish Museum today after school. The girls got to meet an extraordinary curator and women working in the arts all the while participating in a very unique exhibition where all the art work on view was free to take home with you!! Kelly gave the girls a tour of a few of her favorite pieces made of candy, ribbons, stencils, and t-shirts. Not to mention a cool open mic for the girls to create their own performance art while exploring the exhibition. While most museum don't let you touch the art, Take Me I'm Yours was all about sharing the art work with friends, family, and the community. Inviting the public to engage with contemporary art in a thoughtful, social, and fun way!! Thank you Kelly for the amazing Wide Rainbow Walkthrough and creating access for these bright young women to visit the Jewish Museum and experience the show!
